The Assembly’s Friday morning session began with an extended season of prayer directed by North America Ministries and Bishop Dr. Brian Sutton. Leaders guided the Assembly in prayer for the harvest, prodigals and the lost, open doors for ministry, boldness, wisdom, pastors and their families, unity, God’s will, and healing. Bishop Daniel Felipe followed with an impassioned discourse entitled “Transfigured,” drawing from Luke 9 and challenging believers to gain a higher perspective, come closer to Christ, and allow an encounter with His glory to transform how they see and live.
Bishop Jeffery Davis, Executive Director of Leadership Development and Discipleship Ministries, facilitated a presentation celebrating testimonies from Accredited Ministry Development, Spirit & Life Seminary, the Center for Biblical Leadership bearing fruit around the world.
Bishop Dr. Gary Lewis, general overseer of the Church of God, brought the morning message, sharing his personal testimony and reminding the Assembly that sometimes there can be no testimony without first enduring the test. His account of God’s miraculous intervention culminated in an invitation for those needing a miracle to come forward, filling the altar and aisles with hundreds seeking God in prayer.
Friday evening began with the Bahama Brass Band, followed by worship, a testimony of healing from Reverend Darin Ivaniv, and ministry from the Assembly Mass Choir. Reverend Dr. Cesarina Flores of the Dominican Republic preached “Testify: From One Generation to the Next,” a message from Psalm 78:4. She called the Church to intentionally pass faith to succeeding generations through the testimony of God’s praises, power, and wondrous works, reminding the Assembly that its greatest legacy is a living faith that continues from generation to generation.
