Bishop Dr. Tim McCaleb serves as the general presbyter for Asia, Australia, and Oceania for the Church of God of Prophecy. With over four decades of ministry experience, he has been dedicated to preaching, teaching, and building up the church in various capacities. His passion for spiritual growth, theological scholarship, and global missions has shaped his extensive service to the Kingdom of God.
Born on August 25, 1959, in Smith County, Tennessee, Bishop McCaleb grew up in a hardworking family that instilled in him the values of diligence and faith. After accepting Christ in 1978, he felt a strong call to ministry and was licensed as a minister in 1980. Over the years, he has pastored several congregations across Tennessee and Illinois, served in leadership roles such as State Overseer of Texas, and contributed to international missions in nations such as Chile, Peru, Ghana, and Nepal. His leadership extended to overseeing reconstruction efforts in Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake, where he helped rebuild numerous churches, schools, and an orphanage.
Bishop McCaleb is a committed scholar with a Doctor of Ministry from Houston Graduate School of Theology, a Master of Theological Studies from Vanderbilt University, and a Master in Church Ministries from the Church of God School of Theology. His academic pursuits have strengthened his ability to teach, mentor, and lead with theological depth and pastoral wisdom.
His dedication to doctrine and church governance led him to serve on the International Committee for Doctrine and Polity for ten years. Additionally, his involvement with organizations such as the Charles Colson Centurion Program and the Church of God Chaplain’s Commission has broadened his ministry impact beyond the local church.
Married to his high school sweetheart, Sheena Gibbs McCaleb, since 1979, they have four children and a growing legacy of grandchildren. Bishop McCaleb finds his greatest joy in his family and in serving the people of God. His heart for missions, leadership, and biblical teaching continues to shape his work as he faithfully serves the global church. His guiding scripture, Psalm 27:4, reflects his deep desire to dwell in God’s presence and faithfully complete the work entrusted to him.
