Gabriel Elias Vidal is a native of the Dominican Republic who received the Lord at the age of five. He came to the United States in 1984, and in 1985, he co-founded the first Hispanic Church of God of Prophecy in Providence, Rhode Island. From 1986 to 2000, he worked as a regional youth director in the New England area and was appointed pastor of the church in Providence in 1997. While pastoring, he continued to serve as a regional youth leader. In 2001, Bishop Vidal planted the first Hispanic COGOP in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he still attends as a member. He holds a Master of Arts (Religion) from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry from Western Theological Seminary. Bishop Vidal is currently the general presbyter for South America. He lives with his wife, Hanny, and children, Elianny and Alexander, in Cleveland, Tennessee.
