CM Trains Young European Leaders at Get Plugged In

July 24-28, 2019, International Children’s Ministries (CM) was invited to participate in the third biennial Get Plugged In European Youth Leadership Conference held in Prague, Czech Republic. 380 overseers, pastors, and young leaders from 22 nations attended the conference that included general sessions, workshops, and special events. The theme scripture was Psalm 86:9, “All the nations you have made will come and worship before you, Lord; they will bring glory to your name.” All general sessions and workshops were presented simultaneously in English and Russian, and translated by headset into other necessary languages.

Children’s Ministries presented workshops during each of the six workshop sessions on the topics of calling to ministry, foundations of children’s ministry, and basic ministry skills. Participants from across Europe participated in the activities and dialogue, as well as enjoyed opportunities to connect with leaders serving in the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Spain, Ukraine, Germany, and France.

“I was very impressed with the quality, interest, and desire of the young leaders attending the workshops” said Shaun McKinley, international director of Children’s Ministries and workshop presenter. “There was not only a readiness to learn, but also a clear understanding of the value and importance of ministry to children. Many expressed a call to work with children and desire to grow in their skill.”

International Children’s Ministries is grateful for the invitation to be a part of such a significant event with great potential. Each general session was a tremendous blessing to the young leaders gathered and the times spent in conversation and fellowship with our church family were the most impactful. There is great potential for Children’s Ministry in Europe, CIS, and Middle East. Join with us in asking God to direct our strategy moving forward and to supply the necessary resources to do so.
