The Church of God of Prophecy is pleased to announce the launch of the Centennial Recognition Program, a new initiative of the division of Global Communications that honors local congregations reaching 100 years of continuous ministry.
The program officially recognizes churches celebrating their centennial anniversary through a commemorative letter from the Office of the Presiding Bishop, a personalized plaque, acknowledgment in the White Wing Messenger, on the official church website, and through social media platforms.
“For generations, these congregations have faithfully carried the light of the gospel to their communities,” said Dr. Shaun McKinley, executive director of Global Communications. “This program is intended to honor the faithfulness of these congregations whose impact has spanned generations. Their stories deserve to be celebrated and shared.”
To be eligible, congregations must be officially organized as a Church of God of Prophecy congregation. Churches that have already marked their 100th anniversary are also encouraged to apply.
Applications are now being accepted and should be submitted 8–12 weeks before any planned celebration events to allow for processing and delivery of recognition materials. More information and the online application can be found at cogop.org/globalcommunications.
