The Church of God of Prophecy Division of Global Communications is pleased to announce the relaunch of the Majestic Studio record label, a historic ministry endeavor dedicated to encouraging, cultivating, and expanding the talents of singers, songwriters, and musicians within the church. This renewed vision honors a remarkable musical legacy while empowering a new generation of worshipers to share their God-given gifts with excellence.
The roots of this ministry reach back more than 70 years. In 1951, the Broadcast Record Club was established through the vision of Pastor G.A. Wilson and radio technician Tom Duncan of Michigan. Believing in the power of global radio evangelism, they recorded the 46th General Assembly sessions and advised General Overseer M.A. Tomlinson on ways to expand outreach through audio ministry. Their efforts led to the production and sale of the church’s first album in May 1952, which quickly sold out, launching a series of radio programs under the new ministry known as The Voice of Salvation.
As the church’s communication efforts grew, the Communications Center was built in 1971 adjacent to the International Offices complex in Cleveland, Tennessee. The Center supported emerging opportunities in media, becoming home to both English and Spanish ministries as well as Broadcast Distributors, which partnered with dozens of broadcast equipment manufacturers to serve churches and ministries worldwide.
That same year, on April 6, 1971, the Voice of Salvation Studio recorded its very first session in the newly completed facility—a 46.5-by-36-foot chamber built to host a 100‑voice choir. Equipped with advanced recording technology for its day, the studio captured and shared the distinctive “Church of God of Prophecy sound” through custom records produced by the Broadcast Record Club. The facility, now known as the Majestic Building, was recently renovated to serve as a creative space for media production, honoring decades of ministry history.
“Never before have the tools for creating and sharing music been so accessible as they are today,” said Bishop Shaun McKinley, executive director of Global Communications for the Church of God of Prophecy. “We stand on the shoulders of previous generations who built this foundation, and we are excited to offer a modern resource we believe will bless the church and amplify the voices God is raising up in this era.”
As part of the relaunch, original singles and recordings from the Majestic Studio label will soon be available through all major online streaming and distribution channels. Select classic albums will also be remastered and re-released for today’s audiences. In celebration of this milestone, attendees of the 103rd International Assembly in July will have the opportunity to purchase a limited-edition LP album commemorating the relaunch—the first new Majestic album in more than three decades.
The revived Majestic Studio record label seeks to provide opportunities for new compositions, collaborations, and recordings that capture the worship heart and sound of the church today. By combining technological innovation with spiritual inspiration, the Majestic team continues the legacy of using music to uplift, unite, and inspire our family around the world.
