The majority of kids in our communities attend our public schools. Partnering with the administration of your schools and providing needed services and building relationship is an excellent way to reach the kids of your community. In the United States, as long as the activities are voluntary, the schools are legally responsible to give religious groups the same access to the school that it gives any other group. (If you are located in another country, research the laws before beginning a school program.)
Consider the following ideas for partnering with schools:
- Lead a before or after school Bible club.
- Sponsor a student and parent pizza party/movie night.
- Provide school supplies for students and/or teachers
- Offer free tutoring or parenting classes
Look for opportunities to get involved at your local schools.
