Maintenance—Facility and Grounds

The maintenance personnel at Fields of the Wood park work to ensure that the historical properties of the Church of God of Prophecy are maintained, cleaned and ready for our visitors to enjoy. Applicants should be able to easily learn new skills and equipment as necessary. Individuals are required to work in extreme conditions and be on their feet for extended periods of time. This position answers directly to the Historical Properties Manager and indirectly to the Heritage Ministries Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Organized
  • Task oriented
  • Self-motivated
  • Knowledge of basic lawncare equipment and maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Able to stand for 8 hours a day or longer as needed.
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds

BENEFITS
Following the probationary period, the individual will earn time off and vacation hours. The individual will also receive holiday pay for the holidays that are honored by the Church of God of Prophecy International Offices. Individuals are eligible for health insurance through the company policy.

WORK ACTIVITIES:
• Mow lawns
• Prune trees and bushes
• Edge walkways and around monuments
• Landscaping upkeep and improvements
• Remove trash and debris across the properties
• Scrape and paint monuments when necessary
• Pressure wash steps and monuments
• Collaborate with other team members to efficiently maintain the properties
• Maintain equipment
• Other duties as assigned.
