A Igreja de Deus da Profecia (IDP) é uma denominação cristã pentecostal de santidade com sede em Cleveland, Tennessee. Estabelecida em 1903, expandiu seus ministérios para 135 nações, abrangendo mais de 12.000 igrejas e mais de 13.000 pontos de pregação. O número global de membros da igreja ultrapassa um milhão, com quase 90% residindo fora da América do Norte.

Presiding Bishop

Tim Coalter

Bishop Timothy D. Coalter came to Christ at the age of eight years old and joined the Church of God of Prophecy the following year in 1969. Ten years later, after accepting his call to the ministry, Bishop Coalter became a licensed minister with the Church in 1979. In the fall of the same year, as newlyweds, he and his wife Kelly began serving under general Church appointment, as national evangelists. After this two-year appointment, Coalter served as a state youth director (Ohio) as well as began twenty-eight years of pastoral ministry. His pastoral service includes pastorates in Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia, and Tennessee. Bishop Coalter was ordained as a bishop of the Church in 1991.

He was appointed as the state bishop of South Carolina in 2009 and continued serving in that role until September 2014, at which time he was recommended by his peers and selected by the International Presbytery as North America general presbyter with oversight of Canada and the United States. In 2022, Bishop Coalter was selected and accepted, in one accord, to serve as presiding bishop (formerly general overseer) at the 101st International Assembly.

Throughout his ministry, Bishop Coalter has served the Church on various state committees. International committee appointments include the International Offices Ministerial Review Board (2004—2008), Tomlinson Center Board (2007—2012), and Chairman of the Assembly Committee for Finance and Stewardship (2012—2014). Presently, Coalter serves as the chair of the Spirit and Life Seminary Corporate Board, as well as the COGOP International Offices Corporate Board.

In addition to his ministry to the Church, Coalter served on the executive committee for the Pentecostal/Charismatic Churches of North America (PCCNA) for 10 years.

Bishop Coalter received his Master of Arts in Church Ministries with a concentration in Ministry Leadership from the Pentecostal Theological Seminary (2011).

He lives in Cleveland, Tennessee. He and his beloved wife, Kelly, shared 45 years of marriage before she went home to be with the Lord in February 2025. They are blessed with three children and eight grandchildren.

Tim Coalter

O bispo Timothy D. Coalter se converteu a Cristo aos oito anos de idade e se filiou à Igreja de Deus da Profecia no ano seguinte, em 1969. Dez anos depois, após aceitar seu chamado para o ministério, o bispo Coalter tornou-se ministro licenciado da Igreja em 1979. No outono do mesmo ano, como recém-casados, ele e sua esposa Kelly começaram a servir como evangelistas nacionais sob nomeação geral da Igreja. Após essa nomeação de dois anos, Coalter serviu como diretor estadual de jovens (Ohio) e deu início vinte e oito anos de ministério pastoral. Seu serviço pastoral inclui pastorado em Ohio, Carolina do Norte, Virgínia e Tennessee. O bispo Coalter foi ordenado bispo da Igreja em 1991.

Ele foi nomeado bispo estadual da Carolina do Sul em 2009 e continuou servindo nessa função até setembro de 2014, quando foi recomendado por seus pares e selecionado pelo Presbitério Internacional como presbítero geral da América do Norte, supervisionando o Canadá e os Estados Unidos. Em 2022, o Bispo Coalter foi selecionado e aceito por unanimidade para servir como bispo presidente (anteriormente superintendente geral) na 101ª Assembleia Internacional.

Ao longo de seu ministério, o Bispo Coalter serviu à Igreja em vários comitês estaduais. As nomeações para comitês internacionais incluem o Conselho de Revisão Ministerial dos Escritórios Internacionais (2004-2008), o Conselho do Centro Tomlinson (2007-2012) e Presidente do Comitê da Assembleia para Finanças e Mordomia (2012-2014). Atualmente, Coalter serve como presidente da Diretoria do Seminário Espírito e Vida, bem como da Diretoria dos Escritórios Internacionais da IDP.

Além de seu ministério na Igreja, Coalter serviu no comitê executivo das Igrejas Pentecostais/Carismáticas da América do Norte (PCCNA, sigla em inglês) por 10 anos.

O Bispo Coalter recebeu seu Mestrado em Artes em Ministérios da Igreja com concentração em Liderança Ministerial do Seminário Teológico Pentecostal (2011).

Ele mora em Cleveland, Tennessee. Ele e sua amada esposa, Kelly, compartilharam 45 anos de casamento antes que ela fosse para casa para estar com o Senhor em fevereiro de 2025. Eles são abençoados com três filhos e oito netos.
