To be called by God to serve as a pastor is a privilege, blessing and responsibility. It’s a calling that comes to different people in different ways—sometimes QUIETLY, over a long period of time; at other times dramatically and SUDDENLY—like Paul on the road to Damascus (Acts 26:12-14).
Will, YOU KNOW God has called you, and I KNOW God has called you because He has placed a great calling on me to be a PRAYER INTERCESSOR for you and for Hannah as well. I also know that there are many PRAYER INTERCESSORS who are diligently praying over you and this wonderful ministry you are in.
Another thing I know very well is that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of POWER and of LOVE and of a SOUND MIND.” (2 Timothy 1:7) and you can SAY THIS Will, even if I “…walk through the valley of the shadow of death, “I will FEAR NO EVIL; For You (Jesus) ARE WITH ME; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalms 23:4)
And remember Will, “God has said, “NEVER will I leave you; NEVER will I forsake you. So, we say with confidence, “The Lord is MY helper; I WILL NOT BE AFRAID. What can mere mortals do to me?” (Hebrews 13:5-6) The Lord assures us that “He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some PASTORS and teachers, for the EQUIPPING of the saints for the WORK of ministry, for the EDIFYING of the body of Christ, till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to THE MEASURE OF THE STATURE OF THE FULLNESS OF CHRIST; that we should no longer be children…but, speaking THE TRUTH IN LOVE, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— from whom the whole body, JOINED AND KNIT TOGETHER by what EVERY JOINT (meros: part or portion) SUPPLIES, according to the effective working by which EVERY PART DOES ITS SHARE, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.” (Ephesians 4:11-16)
God has a SUPERNATURAL PLAN for His body! He can use ANY WILLING PART of the body to do His will. We are the Body of Christ so we should FUNCTION as Christ did, He healed, cast out devils, raised the dead, opened blinded eyes and fed thousands of people and he said to us, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who BELIEVES in Me, the works that I do HE WILL DO ALSO; and GREATER WORKS than these HE WILL DO, because I go to My Father.” (John 14:12)
