The Information Technology Department operates full-scope technology services for the International Offices of the Church of God of Prophecy. Our staff, under the direction of Michael Luithle, maintains a secure network and manages over 100 users, many of whom travel world-wide and use multiple appliances, 24 hours a day/7 days a week.

In addition to understanding which forms of electronic data, visual, and audio communication are available, the Information Technology Services Department evaluates available services and determine which services can provide the best equipment and support. Along with making determinations about what equipment to use, the IT department oversees the day to day operations of all electronic communication devices within the offices.

The ITS Department manages more than 20 servers, 7 platforms and 100+ workstations.

Mike Luithle - Dir of ITS

Mike Luithle gives vision to the Information Technology Services. His oversight is to insure that information systems are arranged and implemented to provide maximum efficiency with minimum expenditure. While, not being a large IT shop, ITS is able to provide many enterprise level solutions on a minimal budget.

Renee Rodriguez - Information Technology Support Specialist

Renee Rodriguez provides expertise in the user interface arena. Her vast knowledge of office systems as well as IT systems allows her to match technology with daily functions. Renee works closely with users to consult them on best practices and available solutions. ITS provides numerous software and hardware options to allow for non cookie cutter resolutions to problems. This integration allows for prompt and stable solutions to what would be otherwise time consuming duties.

Web design on behalf of International Offices is a priority for the IT department. We understand that friends and members rely on the website to find important information regarding the Church of God of Prophecy. From navigation and usability to aesthetics and branding, we strive to continually provide comprehensive web designing solutions that will enhance your viewing enjoyment. Consistent and regular updates, refining the site, and responding to user feedback are essential to online success.

We believe that you can have your cake and eat it too. We'll help you do just that by delivering high quality media services and also give you as much support as needed to implement these same services. ITS provides media services and equipment to the International Office departments to facilitate them in everything from conference physical equipment to virtual or web based promotions.

We have produced everything from a 10' freestanding cube for tradeshow projection to outdoor stands for sound systems.

Challenge: Provide enterprise server resources for multiple applications through a less than minimal budget toward physical equipment.

Solution: Virtualize servers to provide on-demand needs through minimal expense using VMWare. Utilize VMWare ESXi technology to leverage existing servers against high availability applications and systems. ITS created multiple server resources using less physical equipment resulting in a significant monetary savings.

Problem: Facilitate the development of a comprehensive website meeting the needs of the Global Church and also the needs of the International Office

Solution: A content management system that allowed individual branding but universal control. ITS implement a CMS called CMSMadeSimple which allowed them to give central administration and individual delegated control to web editors.

Problem: A need for centralized document control with access to the global leadership of the Church of God of Prophecy.

Solution: Sharepoint a Microsoft Office Business Solution. Sharepoint is collaboration tool which allow leadership to access documents, internal portals, and many other web based solutions.

Problem: Provide a comprehensive time card application that would track employee information in regards to employee schedules. Also make it available for employees outside of IO systems. Did I mention there is minimal budget for development.

Solution: Implemented a web-based system available to all employees who have an internet connection. ITS implemented a time management and employee portal called TimeTrex.

Since the 9/11 disaster, disaster recovery has grown in scope and depth. ITS maintains a disaster recovery plan to ensure high availability and security of all core and mission critical data.
