– Raising the value of kids in the kingdom of God
– Developing leaders who serve kids with the understanding, creativity, and excellence.
We love working together.
Meet our team
While I was still in elementary school I sensed God’s call to serve children. I began fulfilling that call by serving as a public school teacher as well as a children’s pastor in several local churches. While serving in my first full-time ministry role I became aware of the need for children’s ministers to be skilled in ministry and leadership. At the age of 21 I organized my first children’s ministry conference. Since then developing leaders who serve kids has been my passion.
I have a Masters of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Peabody College of Vanderbilt University and a certificate in Children’s Ministry from Lancaster Bible University. Currently I am the International Children’s Ministry Director for the Church of God of Prophecy. I love what I do—traveling around the world to increase awareness of the value of children while providing encouragement and training to those who serve them. I meet awesome individuals of all ages and in various leadership positions who are totally committed to fulfilling God’s purposes for children in their nations, communities and churches.
I began ministering at my local church and summer youth camps before I was twelve years old. Since then, God has blessed me with opportunities to minister as a children’s ministry director and youth ministry coordinator as well as serving in various roles in camping ministry, conventions and ministry training in North America. I’ve also travelled internationally on mission teams and as a trainer for children’s ministry conferences.
I am thrilled to work everyday alongside a few of the most passionate leaders in children’s ministry. Every Wednesday night, I get to hang out with the greatest 1st – 3rd graders there are at Keith Street Ministries. My heart is full as they grow in their relationship with Christ and knowledge of His Word.
When I was 15 years old, I was called into children’s ministry by God and my mom! I believe her words were, “You’re old enough to teach this class. You can do it!” God had already placed in my heart a desire to teach children, and He began to prepare me for a life of ministry. I have a B.S. degree from Lee University in Math and Science and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I’ve had the privilege of teaching in public schools in both Tennessee and Georgia, as well as, the opportunity to teach at a mission school in Greece. It has been my joy to serve on the ministry teams of five different churches, and I am currently the children’s pastor at Central Community Church in Chatsworth, GA. Several years ago, I began to shift from a life of education to a life of ministry. While I still have the opportunity to teach science to homeschoolers, my greatest joy is being able to introduce children to the love of Jesus.
At the age of fourteen, I said “Yes” to God’s call to serve and minister to kids. Since then, I have actively served in local churches, camps, and various ministry environments. I am now the Associate Pastor of Children at my local church, Spring Place Church of God of Prophecy. It is an exciting time at the church as we are in the process of rebuilding; I am amazed and so thankful for the lessons and practical experience I am receiving while there during this period. In July of 2016, I completed my Master of Arts degree in Ministry Studies from Lee University. My desire is to develop and build relationships with children, their families, and our volunteers that point them not only towards a growing relationship with God, but also fulfilling God’s call for their own lives.
