New Local Church Projects in Cuba

Since the government has lessened some of their former sanctions, our churches in Cuba are now permitted to purchase building supplies, construct, and refurbish their worship buildings—some of which have been in ill repair for many years due to the hardships they have endured. Yet, our brothers and sisters have remained faithful even though their living conditions and economic situations have been very difficult. They are excited to be able to move forward for the Lord while this government door is open.

The photos to the right reflect three churches which have been approved by our General Presbyter, Bishop Ben Feliz, to solicit your prayerful support and financial assistance.

The local church in Punta de la Sierra in the province of Pinar del Rio has made some initial progress as you can see. Approximately $12,000 U.S. dollars will help them to complete this building—finishing the roof, doors, windows, floor, bathrooms, etc.

Our Havana local church also will serve as the location for our National Office. This is the central church for the nation of Cuba, where current construction includes the addition of a multipurpose room for ministry and leadership training. This construction will also provide much needed space for the national office. This local church is already in use for worship and only $5,000 U.S. dollars is needed to assist with the last details to finish the flooring and provide some furniture.

Our Catalina local church, also located in the province of Pinar del Rio. This building needs approximately $8,000 U.S. dollars to complete the work necessary for them to begin utilizing it for worship.

In addition to these local church projects, Bishop Feliz also expressed the great need of a school bus for the ministry of Cuba due to the challenges of public transportation. A 70-passenger bus could be acquired at an approximate cost of $15,000 U.S.D., of which Cuba has raised over $1,000 already. The bus would possibly be purchased in another nation and shipped to Cuba according to the current authorization from the Cuban government.

We praise God that He has opened the doors for ministry to flourish in Cuba. Won’t you prayerfully consider how you might be part of the great harvest of souls as a result of our ministry work in Cuba?
