Local Ministry in Quito, Ecuador Continues to Grow

Image 03We would like to share with you, who participate in this work through your prayers and offerings, what the Lord has done in these [past] 16 months in Quito.

We are renting a building in the central zone of Quito. We meet twice a week—on Sundays (for Sunday School) and on Wednesdays (for Bible study). Also, we have home-based discipleship groups meeting on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

We have 18 covenant members, 10 believers in the process of being discipled, 5 regular visitors, and 7 children.

Image 04We have also purchased 19 plastic chairs with the cooperation of all the members and believers.

We have participated in Missions Drive by making a special offering for Ukraine and Nigeria. Our Mission is to continue supporting missionary work by our prayers and offerings.

Brother Fernel Martinez has begun the training process for the work of ministry. I am honored to be his mentor.

We believe that the mission in Quito is ready to be an organized church, and have so notified the National Overseer.

Image 02We, as a missionary family, came to Ecuador on temporary visa. The great need among the people produced a great desire in us to remain here. Unfortunately, however, our visas have lapsed, and we have been unable to renew them; we need prayers for wisdom as to how to resolve this situation correctly. It was never our intention to disregard the laws of this beautiful country.

Blessed be our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, who has given both you and us the priviledge of being collaborators in His work. To Him be the glory and the honor forever. Amen.

Thank you.
