Sunday, July 26 was a special date for the Church of God of Prophecy in Castanhal, Pará. After teaching a group of seven (7) new believers on the teachings, biblical principles and beliefs of the Church of God of Prophecy, they were baptized by our licensed minister, Elias Francisco with the assistance of our lay minister Sayle Torres. This was the first baptismal service we celebrated since the church went through a crisis and had to undergo a change in our leadership in January. On Sunday night, nine (9) people were added to the membership of the local church in Castanhal. Among these people were two individuals who had previously been pastors of the Church of God of Prophecy and had decided to rejoin the church. This was a day of great celebration and fellowship among these brothers and sisters. The day began with the baptisms, followed by a fellowship lunch, and concluded with communion and the covenant service for our new members.
We thank our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ for restoring a church that the enemy had attempted to declare “closed”, but God has brought it to life once again.
Praise our Lord Jesus Christ always and forever!
