My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “Faith is being sure of WHAT WE HOPE FOR. It is being certain of WHAT WE DO NOT SEE.” (Heb. 11:1)
This verse tells us that faith is assurance that we will receive the things for which we hope. The Bible has promises for blessings in this life if we obey God, and it also contains promises for eternal life in the kingdom of God. Faith is the assurance that we will receive those promises.
“…without faith IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE GOD, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” (Heb 11:6)
Why is this so?
“For by grace YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED THROUGH FAITH. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Eph 2:8-9) Christians are mindful that we are saved through faith in Jesus Christ. Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved. Faith is gift of God, so that no one can boast. But Christians should not forget the importance of faith after their conversion. It is by faith that we are saved… but it is also by faith that we carry on the work of the Lord. No faith, no salvation!
“…when the Son of Man comes, WILL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?” (Luke 18:8)
Jesus made a great promise of what we would be doing by faith… “Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever BELIEVES [Has Faith] IN ME will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I am going to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, this I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask me anything in my name, I WILL DO IT.” (John 14:12-14)
SO, IS JESUS SEEING FAITH AT WORK, NOW???
FaithLine, the bible says: “…when the Son of Man comes, WILL HE FIND FAITH ON THE EARTH?”
