04-25-18 Loved One’s Devotion IN GOD WE TRUST…

My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “When I am afraid, I PUT MY TRUST IN YOUIn God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?(Psa. 56:3, 11)

Trusting God is just believing that He loves us, He’s good, He has the power to help us, and indeed, He wants to help us, and He will help us. Christians are called believers, but many times, we are more like unbelieving believers. We trust our friends, the bank, the stock market or the government more than we trust God and His Word. When the Philistines had seized David in Gath, he cries out: “Be merciful to me, my God, for my enemies are in hot pursuit; ALL DAY LONG THEY PRESS THEIR ATTACK.” (Psa. 56:1)

Was David afraid, yes! But then just a few verses later he says: “When I am afraid, I PUT MY TRUST IN YOU…” David new that man could not take away his relationship and trust in God…So, he says “…I am not afraid. What can man do to me?” For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life.” (Psa. 56:13)

REALLY TRUSTING IN GOD BRINGS ABOUT WONDERFUL PEACE

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “When I am afraid, I PUT MY TRUST IN YOUIn God I trust and am not afraid. What can man do to me?(Psa. 56:3, 11)

04-23-18 FaithLine Devotion LISTENING TO GOD…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus:  “I am the LORD your God…my people will not listen to meIF MY PEOPLE WOULD ONLY LISTEN TO ME…” (Psa. 81:10-13)

What a very sad statement God is making about us, He is the Lord God Almighty, we exist because of Him, why won’t we listen?

“…the LORD raised up judges, who saved them…Yet they would not listen to their judges but played the harlot to other gods and worshiped them. (Judges 2:16-17)

All through the Old Testament we see repeatedly how God’s people refused to listen to Him. The people of God were finally captured by the enemy and the temple of God was destroyed.

LISTEN to my instruction and be wise; do not disregard it. Blessed are those who listen to me…For THOSE WHO FIND ME FIND LIFE AND RECEIVE FAVOR FROM THE LORD.” (Prov. 8:33-35)

When God gave up His only begotten Son, He said: MY SHEEP LISTEN TO MY VOICE; I know them, and they follow me.” (John 10:27)

IT IS ESSENTIAL FOR US TO READ THE WORD OF GOD, LISTEN TO IT AND HIDE IT IN OUR HEARTS WHERE IT CAN’T BE TAKEN AWAY…

04-22-18 Loved One’s Devotion DON’T BE A FOOL…

My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “The fool has SAID IN HIS HEART, “There is no God,” They are corrupt, and have committed 1abominable injustice…” (Psa. 53:1)  1tâ‛ab: loathsome, detestable, hateful

So, are there people who are really like this? Yes, unfortunately all around us, but Jesus said: “…anyone who says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of hell.” (Matt. 5:22)

We do not have the right to tell someone they are “loathsome, detestable and hateful.” Why? Because Jesus said: Do not judge, or you too will be judged.” (Matt. 7:1)

Just think about how close we come at times to becoming a fool: “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks wisely will be delivered.” (Prov. 28:26)

We are instructed in the Word of God to: TRUST IN THE LORD WITH ALL YOUR HEART and lean not on your own understanding…“ (Prov. 3:5)

OUR LEARNING TO TRUST IN THE LORD WILL KEEP US FROM BECOMING FOOLS…

04-21-18 Loved One’s Devotion BORN AGAIN, WHAT IS THAT?

My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day:  “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God UNLESS THEY ARE BORN AGAIN.” “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!” Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT.” (John 3:3-5)  Natural birth and a spiritual birth…

First of all; where is the kingdom of God? “And men will not say, See, it is here! or, There! THE KINGDOM OF GOD IS WITHIN YOU.(Luke 17:21)

Secondly; What does it mean to be “born again?” Paul said: I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but CHRIST LIVES IN ME. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” (Gal. 2:20)

We just need to ask forgiveness and believe…

“…the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone WHO BELIEVES MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE in him.” (John 3:14-15)

ASK FOR FORGIVENESS AND BELIEVE THEN YOU’LL BE BORN AGAIN!

HOW TO OVERCOME THE DEVIL’S HOLD ON AMY…

This is what must happen, Almighty God: “…open Amy’s eyes and turn her from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that she may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.” (Acts 26:18)

It will take our faith in God and our humble but powerful prayers to break this hold the devil has on her. We must seek and trust in God: “…in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his 1schemes. (2 Corin. 2:11) 1noēma: evil purposes.

We pray that God will:

  1. Open Amy’s eyes to the devil’s hold on her life.
  2. Release godly sorrow in Amy’s heart.
  3. Reveal to Amy that she needs to repent and be converted.
  4. Turn Amy away from the darkness into His marvelous light.
  5. Forgive Amy of her sins and sanctify

You Randy and myself need to go on a fast and pray diligently for this to take place…

“God will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. GOD IS FAITHFUL, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corin. 1:8-9)

04-20-18 Loved One’s Devotion DON’T LOSE HOPE…

My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “Hope deferred (delayed) makes the heart sick…” (Prov. 13:12a)

We have dreams and purposes; expectations for life. We want to get married, have kids, go to a certain school, achieve a certain level of job success; and live a long and happy life. Sometimes these dreams and purposes are realized, and sometimes they’re not. And when they meet up against real life challenges, and things aren’t as easy and aren’t going the way that we would have thought, real life batters and beats up our hopes, dreams, purposes, and our expectations. And if we’re not careful, the storm clouds of bitterness, negativity, disillusionment, and discouragement can begin to crowd in on our hopes. …but… DESIRE FULFILLED IS A TREE OF LIFE.” (Prov. 13:12b)

“…we boast in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because GOD’S LOVE HAS BEEN POURED OUT INTO OUR HEARTS THROUGH THE HOLY SPIRIT, who has been given to us.” (Rom. 5:2-5)

THANK GOD, HE KNOWS HOW, AND IS MORE THAN ABLE, TO ALWAYS PROVIDE US WITH JUST WHAT WE NEED
