THE MOUTH OF THE LORD HAS SPOKEN!

“…the glory of the LORD will be revealed, and ALL PEOPLE WILL SEE IT TOGETHER. For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.” (Isa. 40:5) [We only, whose hearts the Lord has stirred up with courage and resolution to break through any discouragements that lay in our way, and run up every hill, and walk through each valley, and every rough place, because our Abba Father will make the way for us; TODAY!] “See, the Sovereign LORD comes with power, and HE RULES WITH A MIGHTY ARM. See, his reward is with him, and his recompense accompanies him.” (Isa. 40:10) [Jesus came as the mighty one, who overpowered and overcame Satan who WAS the strong man armed for battle; but our Lord Jesus IS INFINITELY STRONGER than Satan! Jesus reigns in boldness OVER ALL OPPOSITION!] “Do you not know? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded? He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.” (Isa. 40:21-22) [Our Abba Father himself says, TO WHOM WILL YOU LIKEN ME? I AM the creator and maker of ALL Things! There is nothing too hard for me to do!] “Do you not know? Have you not heard? THE LORD IS THE EVERLASTING GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth. HE WILL NOT GROW TIRED OR WEARY, and his understanding no one can fathom. He GIVES STRENGTH to the weary and INCREASES THE POWER of the weak.” (Isa. 40:28-29) [To those of us who are aware of our weakness, and ready to admit “we have no might”, our Abba Father increases our strength; for, when we are weak in ourselves, then are we STRONG IN THE LORD.] “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those WHO HOPE IN THE LORD WILL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” (Isa. 40:30-31) [When we wait on the Lord, and concrete ourselves to Him, and by faith rely on Him and commit ourselves to his guidance, WE ALWAYS FIND that God will never fail us!]

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE WILL RUN AND NOT GROW WEARY, WE WILL WALK AND NOT BE FAINT!

BY HIS WOUNDS…

BY HIS WOUNDS…

“IS ANYONE AMONG YOU SICK? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And THE PRAYER OFFERED IN FAITH WILL MAKE THE SICK PERSON WELL; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.” (James 5:14-15) [Thank God for healing and for the forgiveness of sins! Did the Lord suffer “wounds” in vain, NO! So why are we not seeing miraculous healings? We occasionally hear of them, we read about healings in our church paper, but this should be a regular occurrence in our lives! Why…] “…the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and BY HIS WOUNDS WE ARE HEALED.” (Isa. 53:5) [Peter said:] “…by his wounds YOU HAVE BEEN healed.” (1 Pet. 2:24) [Isaiah says “we are”, Peter says “WE HAVE BEEN” HEALED. Why the difference? All that need to be done for our healing has BEEN DONE!] “As a result, people brought the sick into the streets and laid them on beds and mats so that at least PETER’S SHADOW MIGHT FALL ON SOME OF THEM AS HE PASSED BY. Crowds gathered also from the towns around Jerusalem, bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and ALL OF THEM WERE HEALED.” (Acts 5:15-16) [This is the reason for Peter saying “we have been healed” he was there and ALL of them WERE healed!!] “Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith and DO NOT DOUBT…If you believe, YOU WILL RECEIVE whatever you ask for in prayer.” (Matt. 21:21-22) [Doubt: comes from the word diakrinō: to separate thoroughly, stagger or waver! We have to SEPARATE OUR UNBELIEF FROM OUR FAITH] “Very truly I tell you, WHOEVER BELIEVES IN ME will do the works I have been doing, and they will do EVEN GREATER THINGS than these, because I am going to the Father. And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I WILL DO IT.” (John 14:12-14) [Our thinking NEEDS TO CHANGE, we need to set our hearts and minds ON THINGS ABOVE!] “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, SET YOUR HEARTS ON THINGS ABOVE, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. SET YOUR MINDS ON THINGS ABOVE, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:1-2) [We must KNOW that our Abba Father HAS NOT CHANGED!] “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, DO IT ALL IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Col. 3:17)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE MUST SET OUR HEARTS AND MINDS ON THINGS ABOVE!

-Bill Stockham

WHO ARE WE TO YOU ABBA FATHER?

“When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, WHAT IS MANKIND THAT YOU ARE MINDFUL OF THEM, human beings that you care for them?” (Psa. 8:3-4)  [But why does David not mention of the sun, which outshines them all? Maybe because this was a night-walk, and moon-light, that he entertained himself with this reflection, when the sun was not within view, but only the moon and the stars, though they are not altogether so usable to man as the sun is, yet they are demonstrations of the wisdom, power, and goodness of the Creator!] “LORD, our Lord, HOW MAJESTIC IS YOUR NAME IN ALL THE EARTH!” (Psa. 8:9) [While praying over this Psalm, we must not forget to acknowledge, with proper affection, God’s favors to us, mainly the fact that we are the inferior creatures that we are, yet we must specifically be ready to give glory to our Lord Jesus, by acknowledging that HE IS LORD, submitting to him as our Lord, and waiting till we see all things put under Him!] You have searched me, LORD, and YOU KNOW ME. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.” (Psa. 139:1-2) [Our Lord God has perfect knowledge of us, and that all the purposes and actions; of our inward man and our outward man because they are naked and open before him!] “You discern [yâda‛, you “know, in a personal and intimate way”] my going out and my lying down; YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH ALL MY WAYS. Before a word is on my tongue YOU, LORD, KNOW IT COMPLETELY.” (Psa. 139:3-4) [When we speak to our Abba Father, about Himself we find ourselves concerned to speak with the utmost intimacy, sincerity and reverence, WHICH GREATLY PLEASES Him, even though He knows what we will say!] “You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. WHERE CAN I GO FROM YOUR SPIRIT? Where can I flee from your presence? (Psa. 139:5-7) [Wherever we are WE ARE UNDER THE EYE AND HAND OF GOD.] “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” (Psa. 139:13-14)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE ARE FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE!

I SPEAK PEACE TO YOU TODAY!

“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; THE LORD TURN HIS FACE TOWARD YOU AND GIVE YOU PEACE.” (Num. 6:24-26) [The word “peace” comes from the word shâlôm” which means: safe, well, happy, welfare, health and prosperity!] “Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way PROSPERITY WILL COME TO YOU.” (Job 22:21) [It is utterly important for every one of us to MAKE OUR PEACE WITH GOD, it is necessary for our health and welfare; for:] “Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?” (Amos 3:3) [We will be greatly blessed WHEN WE WALK TOGETHER WITH THE LORD, because:] “He who forms the mountains, who creates the wind, and who reveals his thoughts to mankind, who turns dawn to darkness, and treads on the heights of the earth– THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY IS HIS NAME.” (Amos 4:13)  [God has proclaimed Himself to be our Abba Father, and stated that we are His children, as the creator of all things; He is certainly capable of bringing great peace into our lives; at the cost of his only begotten Son!] “…he [Jesus] was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; THE PUNISHMENT THAT BROUGHT US PEACE was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5) [Peace in Jesus Christ is THE ONLY TRUE PEACE, and in Jesus alone; we as believers have this peace, through Him we have peace with God, and so in Him we have peace IN OUR OWN MINDS.] “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete. I have told you these things, so that IN ME YOU MAY HAVE PEACE. In this world you will have trouble. But TAKE HEART! I HAVE OVERCOME THE WORLD.” (John 16:33)  [Notice the first thing Jesus prays for, is for his disciples, and for our preservation, in these verses, Jesus commits us all to His Father’s custody. “Keeping” presumes danger, and our danger comes from the world, the world in which we live, the evil of this world; Jesus begs we might be kept from:] I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, PROTECT THEM BY THE POWER OF YOUR NAME, the name you gave me, so that THEY MAY BE ONE AS WE ARE ONE.”  (John 17:11) [Shâlôm!]

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE WILL BE ONE WITH THE FATHER, JUST AS JESUS AND THE FATHER ARE ONE – IN PERFECT PEACE!

-Bill Stockham

WE MUST WARN OUR CHILDREN!

“My son, if sinful men entice you, do not give in to them.” (Prov. 1:10) [This is good advice for us as parents to give our children when we send them out into the world!] “…Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” (Acts 2:40) [Peter said we must “give special attention to save ourselves” from what many have chosen for their lives, make sure we are not involved in their wickedness!] “The LORD saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart WAS ONLY EVIL ALL THE TIME. The LORD REGRETTED that he had made human beings on the earth, and his heart was deeply troubled.” (Gen. 6:5-6)  [God saw it for Himself, He sees all the wickedness that is was among the children of men; it could not be concealed from Him, if it was not repented of, it had to be taken care of; So what did God take notice of? *He observed the terrible sin that took place in men’s lives *He observed the breadth and depth of these continuous sins *He saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth * He saw that every thought of his heart was ONLY EVIL CONTINUALLY!] “So the LORD said, “I will wipe from the face of the earth the human race I have created–and with them the animals, the birds and the creatures that move along the ground–for I regret that I have made them.” (Gen. 6:7) [Does God hate sin? YES! We must hate sin as well! Has our sin grieved him to the heart? And shall we not be grieved and pierced to the heart for it?] “BUT NOAH FOUND FAVOR IN THE EYES OF THE LORD.” (Gen. 6:8) [Noah did not find favor in the eyes of his fellow men; they hated and persecuted him, because by his life choices and by his preaching; he condemned the world. But he found grace in the eyes of the Lord, and this was honor and comfort enough! OH WHAT A DIFFERENCE WE CAN MAKE:] “…The effectual [efficient] fervent [passionate] prayer of a righteous man AVAILETH MUCH.” (James 5:16) [The word “availeth” comes from ischuō: which means TO HAVE, OR EXERCISE MUCH FORCE!] “Once again, the kingdom of heaven is like a net that was let down into the lake and caught all kinds of fish. When it was full, the fishermen pulled it up on the shore. Then they sat down and collected the good fish in baskets, BUT THREW THE BAD AWAY. This is how it will be at the end of the age. The angels will come and SEPARATE THE WICKED from the righteous AND THROW THEM INTO THE BLAZING FURNACE, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Matt. 13:47-50) [Pray! Pray! Pray!]

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

THE EFFECTUAL FERVENT PRAYER OF A RIGHTEOUS MAN AVAILETH MUCH!

WE CAN CRY OUT, “ABBA FATHER”!

WE CAN CRY OUT, “ABBA FATHER”!

“A wise son heeds his father’s instruction…” (Prov. 13:1) [What great hope do those children have who have respect, and admiration for their parents, and are willing to be advised and reprimanded by them. It is a wise son, and soon to be wiser, who hears his father’s instruction, desires to hear it, regards it, and observes it, and does not merely just listen!] “There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers…” (Prov. 30:11) [A generation of troublemakers are those who curse their natural parents, because they cannot endure the correction from them!] “Yet you ask, ‘Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. THE ONE WHO SINS IS THE ONE WHO WILL DIE. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.” (Ezek. 18:19-20) [Ok, what if I have a very ungodly Father? Does that give me the right to dishonor him? NO, our Abba Father knows all about what goes on in our home, but WE MUST CRY OUT TO HIM, we must diligently seek the Lord to save our ungodly parents and to protect us from the ungodliness! It is never alright to disobey God, as hard as it may be we must pray for God to send his angles to surround us and protect us, and to redeem our parents.] “For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother…a man’s enemies are the members of his own household. But as for me, I WATCH IN HOPE FOR THE LORD, I WAIT FOR GOD MY SAVIOR; MY GOD WILL HEAR ME.” (Micah 7:6-7) [It is sad when a man’s worst enemies are those of his own house, his own children that should be his protector and his best friends. Of course when the father in the home is the enemy, what do we do? Look what Micah said: “I watch in hope for the Lord…my God WILL hear me!!!] “…If you want to enter life, keep the commandments. Which ones? …Jesus repliedHONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER…” (Matt. 19:17-19) [Jesus taught us to do just what He does, to please His Father!] “…Jesus said, “…I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me…FOR I ALWAYS DO WHAT PLEASES HIM.” (Joh. 8:28-29) [Lord, teach us to cry out Abba Father!] “Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba (daddy), Father.” (Gal. 4:6)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE CAN ALWAYS DO WHAT PLEASES OUR ABBA FATHER!

THE GIFTS AND CALLINGS OF GOD!

THE GIFTS AND CALLINGS OF GOD!

“…God’s gifts and his call are irrevocable. [Permanent] (Rom. 11:29) [Those of us who are really called of God to any sacred ministry have been brought in deep contact with ourselves, we feel our own ignorance, and know our own weakness. We also know the awful responsibility we feel toward the work of the Lord; and nothing but THE AUTHORITY OF GOD CAN PERSUADE US TO UNDERTAKE IT!] “Alas, Sovereign LORD,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I AM TOO YOUNG.” But the LORD said to me, “DO NOT SAY, ‘I AM TOO YOUNG.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and SAY WHATEVER I COMMAND YOU. Do not be afraid of them, FOR I AM WITH YOU AND WILL RESCUE YOU,” declares the LORD. Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I HAVE PUT MY WORDS IN YOUR MOUTH.” (Jer. 1:6-9) [Peter was now convinced that our Abba Father is no respecter of persons; that as all must stand before his judgment seat, to be judged according to the deeds done in the body, whom God chooses to call – HE USES!] “Then Peter began to speak: “I now realize how true it is that GOD DOES NOT SHOW FAVORITISM but accepts from every nation THE ONE WHO FEARS HIM AND DOES WHAT IS RIGHT.” (Acts 10:34-35) [NOTHING IS AS PLEASING TO GOD AS OBEDIENCE, no, not sacrifice and offering, or any other service. We must understand that when God calls us, we must make up our minds that we will delight in what we are called to do. So our Abba Father will be well pleased with us and our services] “But Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? TO OBEY IS BETTER THAN SACRIFICE…” (1 Sam. 15:22) [Because we are always under our Abba Fathers care, and because He is omnipresent, He is also omniscient (all-knowing); heaven and earth include the whole creation of God, and the Creator fills both; he not only knows both, and governs both, but he fills both.] “Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. His divine power HAS GIVEN US EVERYTHING WE NEED for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE DIVINE NATURE, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.” (2 Pet. 1:2-4)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE DIVINE NATURE OF OUR ABBA FATHER!

HE NEVER LEAVES US OR FORSAKES US!

HE NEVER LEAVES US OR FORSAKES US!

[The troubles that often surprise us, giving us no time to arm ourselves by thought, and prayer; are the ones most likely to put us into confusion. Abba Father; do not let  the wise and good forget themselves, and then we will not give way to fear that has torment, and be the alarmed ever so suddenly!] “Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for THE LORD WILL BE AT YOUR SIDE and will keep your foot from being snared.” (Prov. 3:25-26) [It would be good for us to put the word of God in one scale, and what we are about to do, in the other, and SEE HOW THEY AGREE; be serious in examining whether your way is good before the Lord and whether it will end well. We must consider our past and examine what we have done, what are doing and where we are going, and see that WE WALK CAREFULLY!] “The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and BE STEADFAST IN ALL YOUR WAYS.” (Prov. 4:18, 26) [Our Abba Father does not watch our ways every now and then, but WE ARE ALWAYS IN HIS VIEW AND UNDER HIS INSPECTION; Why? He is our Abba Father who CONSTANTLY CARES FOR HIS CHILDREN! Remember, your:] “…ways are in full view of the Lord, and he examines all your paths.” (Prov. 5:21)  [Because we are always under our Abba Fathers care, and because He is omnipresent, He is also omniscient (all-knowing); heaven and earth include the whole creation of God, and the Creator fills both; he not only knows both, and governs both, but HE FILLS BOTH.] “Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, YOU ARE THERE; if I make my bed in the depths, YOU ARE THERE. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, EVEN THERE YOUR HAND WILL GUIDE ME, YOUR RIGHT HAND WILL HOLD ME FAST.” (Psa. 139:7-10) [Please, Abba Father, order my steps, direct my path and know my heart! It is MY DESIRE TO WALK IN YOUR WAY!] “Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and LEAD ME IN THE WAY EVERLASTING.” (Psa. 139:23-24)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE ARE ALWAYS IN THE RIGHT HAND OF OUR ABBA FATHER!

WHAT KIND OF CHILD IS THIS?

[“In a glorious manner”, Jesus will arrive; Isaiah tells them “you have been often told that he should be born among you, I am now further to tell you that he shall BE BORN OF A VIRGIN, which will signify both the divine power and the divine purity with which he shall be brought into the world”!] “…the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel (lit. With us is God). (Isa. 7:14) [The excellence of the Gospels is not that it makes allowances for sin, but that IT MAKES AN ATONEMENT FOR SIN: not that it tolerates sin, but that IT FORGIVES THEN DESTROYS SIN!] “…an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because WHAT IS CONCEIVED IN HER IS FROM THE HOLY SPIRIT. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “GOD WITH US“).” (Matt. 1:20-23) [Some will have these gifts to be symbolic of the Divinity, regal office, and manhood of Christ. “They offered him incense as their God; gold as their king; and myrrh, to a human body, subject to suffering and death!] “On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and THEY BOWED DOWN AND WORSHIPED HIM. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.” (Matt. 2:11) [“If a man love me”, says Christ, “he will keep my word; and I and the Father will come in unto him, and make our abode (dwelling) with him.” And indeed even Christ in the arms of Simeon could not benefit him, if Christ were not already formed in his heart.] “…there was a man in Jerusalem called Simeon…the Holy Spirit was on him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that HE WOULD NOT DIE BEFORE HE HAD SEEN THE LORD’S MESSIAH…Simeon took him (Jesus) in his arms and praised God, saying: “Sovereign Lord, as you have promised, you may now dismiss your servant in peace. For MY EYES HAVE SEEN YOUR SALVATION, which you have prepared in the sight of all nations: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of your people Israel.” (Luke 2:25-32)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

WE ARE ALSO BLESSED TO HAVING SEEN OUR SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST!

DECLARING AND BELIEVING!

DECLARING AND BELIEVING!

[Declaring something is: to announce, or proclaim it. To speak out! The doctrine of salvation preached by the apostles; is in our mouths, the promises of redemption made by the prophets that are a part of every Jew’s belief; is in our hearts – the power to believe with our heart unto righteousness, then our tongue can make confession unto salvation!] “Now what I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you or beyond your reach. No, the word is very near you; IT IS IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART so you may obey it.” (Deut. 30:11, 14) [There are basically two steps involved in activating our faith, we must BELIEVE and we must DECLARE or speak out WHAT WE BELIEVE!] “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?'” (that is, to bring Christ down) “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?'” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU; IT IS IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: If you DECLARE WITH YOUR MOUTH, “Jesus is Lord,” and BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is WITH YOUR HEART that you believe and are justified, and it is WITH YOUR MOUTH that you profess your faith and are saved.” (Rom. 10:6-10) [We must bow to the determinations of our Abba Father, concerning his mode of saving our souls, through faith in Jesus Christ, as THE ONLY AVAILABLE SACRIFICE FOR SIN – this is what the whole law pointed to!]  “As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–THE SAME LORD IS LORD OF ALL AND RICHLY BLESSES ALL WHO CALL ON HIM, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord WILL BE SAVED.” (Rom. 10:11-13) [Oh, how important it is for us to respond to the call of the Lord on our lives! THE GOSPEL MUST BE PREACHED!!! Just say “HERE I AM LORD, SEND ME!] “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “HOW BEAUTIFUL ARE THE FEET OF THOSE WHO BRING GOOD NEWS!” (Rom. 10:14-15)

Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:

THE LORD GRACES US WITH BEAUTIFUL FEET TO WALK IN OBEDIENCE TO HIS CALL!
