06-04-18 FaithLine Devotion HOW DO WE LOVE JESUS…

My dear brothers and sisters, of FATHLINE: Simon Peter said to them, I AM 1GOING FISHING.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night THEY CAUGHT NOTHING. (John 21:3) 1hupagó: I go away, a final departure.

Jesus was gone so, they felt their ministry was gone as well. This was a declaration that they were leaving the ministry and going back to fishing. Not a great start…

“…Jesus stood on the beach; and said to them, “Children, you do not have any fish, do you?” They answered Him, “No.” (John 21:4-5)

They were not really sure who this was“Cast the net on the right-hand side of the boat and you will find a catch.” (John 21:6) Almost instantly the net was full of great big fish, 153 in number.

Jesus then called Peter to Him near the big pile of fish and said: “…do you agapaō Me more than these?” Peter said: “Yes, Lord; You know that I philēō You.Jesus was speaking about a love of devotion, Peter was responding with a love of friendship. Jesus asked again with the same results. The third time Jesus said: “Do you even philēō me Peter?” This made Peter very unhappy. He then said: “Lord, you know all things; You know that I philēō You.” (John 21:15-17)

Here is the thing, when we just get healed or greatly blessed, we dance around and praise the Lord with real thankful hearts but when we are facing a trial of our faith we often become sad faced and often a little depressed. That is what philēō love is, loving the blessings, not the trials. What the Lord wants from us is a pure devoted love for Him. Agapaō through it all love! HOW DO WE LOVE JESUS…

06-03-18 FaithLine Devotion ARE WE PAYING ATTENTION TO WHAT THE WORD SAYS…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “Taking Jesus’ body, the two of them wrapped it, with the spices, in strips of linen…there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb…since the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.” (John 19:40-42)

“For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man WILL BE THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS in the heart of the earth.” (Matt. 12:40)

“…Simon Peter came…and went into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there…Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in, and HE SAW AND BELIEVED; for AS YET THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND THE SCRIPTURE, that he must rise from the dead.” (John 20:6-9)

♫There ain’t no grave gonna hold my body down
When
it’s time to get up, I’m
Gonna get up outa the ground

“I saw… a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True…He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and HIS NAME IS THE WORD OF GOD.” (Rev. 19:11-13)

WHEN WE HIDE THE WORD IN OUR HEART WE ARE BEING FILLED UP WITH JESUS(Psa. 19:11)

06-02-18 FaithLine Devotion IN THE AGE OF SO MUCH UNTRUTH, WHAT IS TRUTH…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus:  “…Pilate said to Him, “So You are a king?” Jesus answered, “You say correctly that I am a king. For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice. Pilate said to Him,WHAT IS TRUTH? (John 18:37-38)

How would Jesus answer that question? I AM THE WAY, AND THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” (John 14:6)

There is a new age teaching that claims there is no absolute truth but: “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and IN TRUTH.” (John 4:24)

The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all about truth so, David said; “Teach me your way, O LORD, THAT I MAY WALK IN YOUR TRUTH…” (Psa. 86:11)

LET US BE PEOPLE OF TRUTH, LIVING AND SPEAKING TRUTH!

05-31-18 FaithLine Devotion BELIEVERS UNDER ATTACK…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “I do not ask on behalf of these alone, but FOR THOSE ALSO WHO BELIEVE IN ME THROUGH THEIR WORD; that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that THE WORLD MAY BELIEVE that you sent me.” (John 17:20-21)

Do we believe this? According to a Barna research: Although large majorities of the public claim to be “deeply spiritual” and say that their religious faith is “very important” in their life, only 15% of those who regularly attend a Christian church ranked their relationship with God as the top priority in their life. As alarming as that finding was, its significance was magnified by research showing that on average pastors believe that 70% of the adults in their congregation consider their relationship with God to be their highest priority in life.

“We know that we are children of God, and that THE WHOLE WORLD IS UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE EVIL ONE.” (1 John 5:19) We have a great task; living the word and spreading the gospel!

Jesus responds to the Pharisees, (the religious leaders of the time) challenging them that they are not children of Abraham: You belong to your father, the devil…He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and THE FATHER OF LIES.” (John 8:44)

We are living in an age of great deception: “The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers (and of many believers as well), so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corin. 4:4)

WE MUST SERIOUSLY CONTEND FOR THE FAITH DELIVERED TO US.

05-29-18 Loved One’s Devotion DELIVERING, REDEEMING AND KEEPING…

My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “I have said all these things to you TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING AWAY.(John 16:1)

What are “these things” Jesus said to us to keep us from falling?

“Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, THEY WILL ALSO PERSECUTE YOU. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me.” (John 15:20-21)

No matter what we have to go through, Jesus is always with us to help us through the difficult times because His intention is to keep us…

“Blessed are you when people hate you, when they exclude you and insult you and reject your name as evil, because of the Son of Man. “REJOICE IN THAT DAY AND LEAP FOR JOY, because great is your reward in heaven…” (Luke 6:22-23)

LET’S LEAP FOR JOY KNOWING THAT JESUS IS KEEPING US FROM FALLING AWAY

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] “I have said all these things to you TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING AWAY. !!!That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh
