03-09-18 Loved One’s Devotion SET YOUR MIND TO SEEK WHAT IS RIGHT…

My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day:   “If then you have been raised with Christ, SEEK THE THINGS THAT ARE ABOVE, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. SET YOUR MINDS ON THINGS THAT ARE ABOVE, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” (Col. 3:1-3)

There are many unholy temptations that try to fill our thoughts, but remember we control what goes on in our minds…

When Christ who is your life appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Put to death therefore what is earthly in you: sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” (Col. 3:4-5)

Paul tells us in 1st Corinthians 2:16 that: “…we have the mind of Christ.

YOU ARE GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE. You are holy and dearly loved. So, put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proudBe gentle and patientFORGIVE, just as the Lord forgave you.” (Col. 3:12-13)

AS GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE WE NEED TO PUT ON THE MIND OF CHRIST

03-08-18 Loved One’s Devotion WHEN WILL IT HAPPEN…

My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day:   “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. “Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, RECOGNIZE THAT HE IS NEARRIGHT AT THE DOOR.” (Mark 13:28-29)

When spring comes and the trees put out new leaves, we know that summer is not far off. In the same way, we will know Christ’s return is near when we see the events He mentions earlier in the chapter begin to occur.

“Truly I say to you, this generation WILL NOT PASS AWAY until all these things take place. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS WILL NOT PASS AWAY.” (Mark 13:30-31)

What “things” must take place?

  • Nation will rise against nation
  • kingdom will rise against kingdom
  • There will be earthquakes in various places
  • There will be famines
  • the sun will be darkened
  • the moon will not give its light
  • the stars will fall from the sky
  • the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
  • the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky
  • he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call

“Take heed, KEEP ON THE ALERT; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.” (Mark 13:33)

WE MUST RUB THE SLEEP FROM OUR EYES AND WAKE UP

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] “…KEEP ON THE ALERT; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.” !!!That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh

03-07-18 Loved One’s Devotion OUR OFFERING TO THE LORD…

My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day“Jesus sat down opposite the place where the offerings were put and watched …Many rich people threw in large amounts. But a poor widow came and put in TWO VERY SMALL COPPER COINS, worth only a few cents.” (Mark 12:41-42)

We’re not talking about our tithes, that 10% belongs to God! We are talking about offerings for the needs of the church, the poor and needy and missionary offerings and the like…

“Calling his disciples to him, Jesus said, “Truly I tell you, this poor widow has put more into the treasury than all the others. THEY ALL GAVE OUT OF THEIR WEALTH; BUT SHEOUT OF HER POVERTYPUT IN EVERYTHINGall she had to live on. (Mark 12:43-44)

Talk to the Lord about special needs, He will direct you what to give. Remember when there were many without food, Jesus took up an offering and received five loaves of bread and two fish, with that He fed 5,000 men plus women and children. When they were done eating there were twelve basketfuls of broken pieces left over. The key is prayerfully seeking the Lord and giving as He directs

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER.” (2 Corin. 9:7)

GIVE, AND IT WILL BE GIVEN TO YOU. A GOOD MEASURE, PRESSED DOWN, SHAKEN TOGETHER AND RUNNING OVER (Luke 6:38)

03-06-18 Loved One’s Devotion THE MOST IMPORTANT COMMANDMENT…

My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day:    “One of the scribes went to Jesus…he asked him, “Which commandment is the most important of them all?” Jesus answered, “The most important is…the Lord our God is THE ONLY LORD. So,LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD with ALL YOUR HEARTSOULMIND…and STRENGTH.” (Mark 12:28-30)

Why is this so important? Because, if we love God with our all; we will desire to be obedient to Him, to serve Him and worship Him…

“The second most important commandment is this: LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF.’ No other commandment is greater than these.“ (Mark 12:31)

The devil loves to tempt us to say hateful and hurtful things about our “neighbor” but you see, if we yield to this temptation, we break this 2nd commandment and sin against our neighbor and AGAINST GOD

“The scribe said to Jesus…To love Him with all your heart, with all your understanding, with all your strength, and to love your neighbor as you love yourself is MORE IMPORTANT than all the burnt offerings and sacrifices.” (Mark 12:32-33)

THE MOST IMPORTANT THING WE CAN DO IS LOVE GOD AND LOVE OUR NEIGHBOR

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] “…LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOU LOVE YOURSELF. !!!That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh
