WORSHIPING TOGETHER…

“Let us hold unswervingly [reliably] to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may SPUR ONE ANOTHER ON TOWARD LOVE AND GOOD DEEDS, NOT GIVING UP MEETING TOGETHER, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another–and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” (Heb. 10:23-25)

[Since we have the freedom and opportunity, let us meet together, worship the Lord and encourage one another! It would be inappropriate for us to KEEP AT A DISTANCE FROM HIM. We must DRAW NEAR in all holy conversation, like Enoch walking with God. We must DRAW NEAR in humble adorations, worshipping in His presence. We must DRAW NEAR in our holy dependence upon our Abba Father. We must DRAW NEAR in conformity to God, and communion with him, living under his blessed influence, still endeavoring to get NEARER AND NEARER, until we come to dwell in HIS PRESENCE FOREVER!]

“So, do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that WHEN YOU HAVE DONE THE WILL OF GOD, YOU WILL RECEIVE WHAT HE HAS PROMISED.” (Heb. 10:35-36)

[Be encouraged because you are assured the reward of your holy confidence in our Abba Father and His many promises. This also carries a present reward in it, in holy PEACE AND JOY, and much of God’s presence and his power resting upon us; and it shall have a great payment of reward hereafter! FOR… “In just a little while, HE WHO IS COMING WILL COME AND WILL NOT DELAY.” (Heb. 10:37)

[He will soon come to us at our individual end, and put a finish to all our sufferings, and give us a crown of life. He will soon come to judgment, and put an end to the sufferings of the whole church, and give all of us an ample and glorious reward!]

“…the righteous one will live by faith…WE DO NOT BELONG TO THOSE WHO SHRINK BACK AND ARE DESTROYED, BUT TO THOSE WHO HAVE FAITH AND ARE SAVED.” (Heb. 10:38-39)

[We are not of those who draw back. I pray that you and I, who have already met with great trials, and have been supported through them by the grace of God who is so wonderful in strengthening our faith, so we were never at any time left to ourselves to draw back to damnation; I thank God that HE WILL KEEP US BY HIS MIGHTY POWER through faith unto salvation!]

“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, SO THAT YOU MAY KNOW HIM BETTER…” (Eph. 1:16-18)

11-04-17 Loved One’s Devotion SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE…

[My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and WHO CORRECTLY HANDLES THE WORD OF TRUTH.” (2 Tim. 2:15)

[‘Correctly’ comes from the word orthotomeō: to make a straight cut, that is, to dissect, to rightly divide. When we present the gospel, we must remember we are handling THE WORD OF GOD! So, we must honor the Word of God, respect the Word of God and most importantly pray over the Word of God, pray that Our Abba Father will reveal the Word to us, so we may reveal it to others!]

“…SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, we will grow to become IN EVERY RESPECT the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ…” (Eph. 4:15-16)

[We must have a greater portion of love FOR Christ and TO one another.]

WE MUST SPEAK THE TRUTH IN LOVE, SO WE WILL GROW TO BECOME MATURE…

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved …”!!!] That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh

11-04-17 FaithLine Devotion SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE…

[My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus:] “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and WHO CORRECTLY HANDLES THE WORD OF TRUTH.” (2 Tim. 2:15)

[‘Correctly’ comes from the word orthotomeō: to make a straight cut, that is, to dissect, to rightly divide. When we present the gospel, we must remember we are handling THE WORD OF GOD! Avoid godless chatter, because THOSE WHO INDULGE IN IT WILL BECOME MORE AND MORE UNGODLY. Their teaching will spread like gangrene…” (2 Tim. 2:16-17)

[Avoid all empty (vain, useless, idle) talk. We can turn the radio or television on today and witness plenty empty and useless talk, people may say whatever they want with no accountability and lead many astray, but we must “speak the truth in love” Eph. 4:15 so that we will:]

no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and BLOWN HERE AND THERE BY EVERY WIND OF TEACHING…” (Eph. 4:14)

[That is, that we may be no longer children in our knowledge who are weak in the faith, and changing in our judgments, yielding easily to every temptation, readily complying with the many ‘untruths’ going around!]

“Instead, SPEAKING THE TRUTH IN LOVE, we will grow to become IN EVERY RESPECT the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, GROWS AND BUILDS ITSELF UP IN LOVE, AS EACH PART DOES ITS WORK.” (Eph. 4:15-16)

[There are two ways to understand this: One, that all the members of the church may attain a greater portion of love FOR Christ and TO one another; OR know that mutual love among Christians is a great motivator for spiritual growth: it is in love that the body edifies itself; whereas a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand.]

“…I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, even THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and WILL BE IN YOU.” (John 14:16-17)

11-03-17 FaithLine Devotion PENETRATE MY HEART WITH YOUR WORD…

“…the word of God is ALIVE AND ACTIVE. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it 1penetrates even to 2dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (Heb. 4:12)

The word penetrates us, 1diikneomai: to go or reach through, 2merismos: a separation or distribution. The word goes through us to separate the difference between soul and spirit. The “soul” things are connected to the world around us and the “spirit” things are connected to God. The word reveals to us THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING CONNECTED TO GOD!

The word “judge” does not mean “condemn.” It means “assess.” When we show somebody a painting and say, “What’s your judgment?” we don’t mean, “What’s your condemnation?” We mean, “What’s your assessment of the quality? Is it good or bad?” So the Word of God penetrates to the deepest place in our lives and assesses what’s there. IS IT GOOD OR BAD? So, the word of God reveals to us where we are in our spiritual journey to eliminate confusion!

“…the god of this world [the devil] has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corin. 4:4)

The devil blinds the minds of unbelievers and tries to confuse the minds of Christians!!!

11-02-17 Loved One’s Devotion ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD…

[My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “…I kneel before the Father…I pray that out of his glorious riches he may STRENGTHEN YOU WITH POWER through his Spirit…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…” (Eph. 3:14-17)

Why will it take so much power? Because…

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy…” (John 10:10) The devil comes to Steal our confidence in God and kill our faith, so Paul says:

“I pray that you…MAY HAVE POWER…to grasp how wide…long…high…deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be FILLED TO THE MEASURE of all the fullness of God.” (Eph. 3:17-19)

LET THIS BE OUR PRAYER SO WE MAY BE USED OF GOD FOR HIS GLORY

11-02-17 FaithLine; ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD…

[My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus:] What an awesome concept, being filled up with ALL OF GOD’S FULLNESS! Is that possible? Well, Paul says:

“…that you may be FILLED TO THE MEASURE OF ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD.” (Eph. 3:19)

Paul is suggesting that this is possible, but how? First, let me show an example of someone who may have experienced this.

“…people brought the sick…so that at least PETER’S SHADOW might fall on some of them as he passed by. Crowds gathered…bringing their sick and those tormented by impure spirits, and ALL OF THEM WERE HEALED.” (Acts 5:15-16)

What will it take for this to happen today? Paul says:

“…I kneel before the Father…I pray that out of his glorious riches he may STRENGTHEN YOU WITH POWER through his Spirit…so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…” (Eph. 3:14-17)
