THE IMPORTANCE OF THE FEAR OF GOD…

“I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much TO DETECT OR HATE THEIR SIN.” (Psa. 36:1-2)

David sends us a message from the Lord about the utmost importance of the fear of the Lord…

“The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good. Even on their beds they plot evil; THEY COMMIT THEMSELVES TO A SINFUL COURSE AND DO NOT REJECT WHAT IS WRONG.” (Psalms 36:3-4)

We come to a very low place in our lives when we reject wrong and commit to do evil! So, what do we do? How do we get help?

“Your love, LORD, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep…HOW PRICELESS IS YOUR UNFAILING LOVE, O God! PEOPLE TAKE REFUGE IN THE SHADOW OF YOUR WINGSFor with you is the FOUNTAIN OF LIFE; in your light we see light.” (Psa. 36:5-7, 9)

02-17-18 Loved One’s Devotion WHO IS IN CHARGE…

My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day:  “Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, YOU ARE SLAVES OF THE ONE YOU OBEY–whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness?” (Rom. 6:16)

When we come into this world we are born into sin, we inherit Adam’s nature.

“But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegianceYOU HAVE BEEN SET FREE FROM SIN AND HAVE BECOME SLAVES TO RIGHTEOUSNESS.” (Rom. 6:17-18)

Thankfully God has provided salvation for the forgiveness of our sins and then makes the way for us to become sanctified.

“…now that you have been SET FREE FROM SIN and have become slaves of God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life.” (Rom. 6:22)

Thru the process of sanctification, we are set free from sin and may pursue a life of holiness…

BE SET FREE FROM SIN AND BECOME A SERVANT OF GOD

Notice: [We must understand that the bible says:] “…now that you have been SET FREE FROM SIN and have become slaves of God. !!!That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh

02-16-18 Loved One’s Devotion THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT…

My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day:   “…JESUS…was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and THE SPIRIT DESCENDING ON HIM LIKE A DOVE. And a voice came from heaven: “YOU ARE MY SON, WHOM I LOVE; WITH YOU I AM WELL PLEASED.”(Mark 1:9-11)

This is very clear evidence of the triune God head. One God in three divine persons…Jesus gave these instructions to His disciples…

“…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT…” (Matt. 28:19)

The debate about 1 John 5:7…

“For THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, THE FATHER, THE WORD, and THE HOLY GHOST: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7 KJV)

1 John 5:7 belongs in the King James Bible and was preserved by faithful Christians. But the passage was removed from many Greek manuscripts, because of the problems it seemed to cause. Between about 220 and 270 AD, a man named Sabellius taught that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit were identical. They would use the 1 John 5:7-8 passage to claim that the Trinity was actually the same Person! The Eastern Orthodox would not want any passage of their Bible to say that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost were “one.” They would want to emphasize the distinctions between the Trinity and not have 1 John 5:7 in their Bibles.

“THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THE LOVE OF GOD AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL.” (2 Corin. 13:14)
