As God continues to move among us and new people come to His saving grace, the church in Hungary continues to grow by leaps and bounds. In the city of Jászapáti, the church has now found a suitable building for church services. It is close to center of the city and the neighborhood is good. The pastor of the local congregation has had a conversation with the owner who is willing to sell the building at a cost of 2,6 Million Forints, which is about $9,300 USD (by today’s exchange rates).
Bishop Clayton Endecott, National Overseer of Hungary and General Presbyter for Europe, CIS, and Middle East shared in an appeal with the Harvest Partners of Hungary on Monday, “We do not want to lose this opportunity but know other people are interested in the house as well. In whole, we consider this building well worth the money and believe it could be very well be used for our church services and even for other mission activities. Won’t you join with us to see this building become a worship facility in Jászapáti? Any gifts of love are greatly appreciated to help us in this venture. We know that if we all work together, we can realize this blessing more quickly.”
The building in Hungary was a house that the local church has been renting. It has already been converted and opened up for more room for their services, with smaller rooms to accommodate Children’s ministries, a bathroom, and kitchen, etc. It is a very moderate style and will be used as the main church building in Jászapáti.
Local churches can give through Harvest Partners Project Giving, and individuals can contribute through Helping Hand. Please earmark your gift as Hungary-Jászapáti Building.
Transportation Need for Hungary
Another essential in Hungary is for much needed transportation for our lead pastor, Brother Rupa László. Pastor Rupa is traveling, not only to pastor several congregations, but also helps to oversee the general ministry taking place in the nation. Pastor Rupa has located a used, but suitable, vehicle at a car dealership in Budapest.
Local churches can give through Harvest Partners Project Giving for this transportation need, and individuals can contribute through Helping Hand. Please earmark your gift as Hungary-Vehicle.
Bishop Endecott continues, “Thank you, Harvest Partners, for your faithfulness in prayers, encouragement, and loving support to the ministry in Hungary. It is greatly appreciated.”
Note that all gifts are tax deductible and 100% of your gift is applied to the need you so specify. Gifts may be given online or by mailing:
