My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: In the days there was a famine in the land. So, a man from Bethlehem in Judah, Elimelek, together with his wife, Naomi, and two sons, her husband died, her two sons married Moabite women, one named Orpah and the other Ruth. Then her two sons also died, and Naomi was left without any family! So, she said to her two daughters-in-law “Go back, each of you, to your mother’s home. May the LORD show you kindness, as you have shown kindness to your husbands and to me. Orpah returned but Ruth said: “…Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I WILL GO, and where you stay I WILL STAY. Your people will be my people and YOUR GOD MY GOD.” (Ruth 1:16)
Ruth wound up working in the field of Boaz (the great grandfather of King David), she worked very hard and impressed Boaz to the point that he her took her to be his wife!
“So, Boaz took Ruth and she became his wife…and she gave birth to a son. The women said to Naomi: “Praise be to the LORD…may he become famous throughout Israel!” (Ruth 4:13-14)
When we submit to God and willingly give our life to Him, there is no telling of HOW GOD MAY CHOOSE TO USE US! (Boaz was the father of Obed), “Obed the father of Jesse, and Jesse THE FATHER OF DAVID.” (Ruth 4:22)
King David of Israel was known for his diverse skills as a man who deeply loved God. He was a warrior and a writer of psalms. In his 40 years as ruler, he united the people of Israel, led them to victory in battle, and conquered much land.
“The record of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, THE SON OF DAVID…” (Matt. 1:1)
ONLY YOU ABBA FATHER, CAN MAKE ME WORTHY OF YOU…
FaithLine, the bible says: “…Your people will be my people and YOUR GOD MY GOD.”
