My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “…we became like grasshoppers IN OUR OWN SIGHT, and so we were in their sight.” (Num. 13:33)
12 men (1 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel) were sent to check out the land promised to them. Joshua and Caleb brought back awesome reports of the land, but the other 10 men only saw trouble. This was the land God had set aside for them in a promise made to Abraham by God many years before this. The LORD said to Abraham, “To your offspring I WILL GIVE THIS LAND.” (Gen. 12:7)
Later, God made this promise to them. “YOU WILL POSSESS THEIR LAND; I WILL GIVE IT TO YOU AS AN INHERITANCE, a land flowing with milk and honey.” I am the LORD your God, who has set you apart from the nations.” (Lev. 20:24)
Because of their refusal to go in and possess the promised land, the Israelites had to wander around the wilderness for 40 more years. We cannot have a grasshopper mentality when it comes to obeying the call of God.
“…the gifts and the calling of God ARE IRREVOCABLE (binding).” (Rom. 11:29)
GOD KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT HE IS DOING, WE MUST OBEY…
Notice: […We must understand that the bible says:] “…the gifts and the calling of God ARE IRREVOCABLE.” !!!] That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh
