The denomination’s General Overseer, Randall E. Howard, introduced the 2020 VISION initiative to the church’s membership during the Tuesday morning session at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.Howard emphasized to the crowd gathered that “2020 Vision” isn’t a “public relations push” but a return to essential tenets.
Howard cited the leadership efforts of previous General Overseers, including A.J. Tomlinson, Billy D. Murry and Fred S. Fisher, Sr., who opened the session with prayer. Howard also honored the memory of Murray with a presentation to his daughters, Susan Murray Duncan and Beth Murray Aukerman.
