Report from Turks and Caicos Islands Ladies Retreat 2009
On Friday and Saturday 16th-17th October 2009 many excited ladies gathered at the Beaches Resort & Spa Hotel from throughtout the Turks and Caicos Islands. Thirty ladies were registered at the Hotel and enjoyed the all inclusive benefits of being there. Over forty five other ladies joined in the two night sessions. A total of Seventy five ladies registered for the Ladies Retreat. Many came from various church groups just to share with us and enoy God's presence. The very young, middle age and very elderly were present.
The atmosphere was charged with the presence of the Lord from beginning to the end of the Retreat. There were testimonies of deliverance and the blessings of the Lord shared during the Retreat.
The ladies were extremely blessed to have Rev. Irene Williams the wife of our former National Overseer, Bishop Franklyn R. Williams in attendance, also our Dear Bishop Franklyn R. Williams. Although she is now 80 years old and celebrated her 59th Wedding Anniversay, she is full of enthusiam for the Lord. She shared such wonderful testimonies from her many years of service as National Women's Ministries Director, being the wife of a Pastor and National Overseer and her many travels ministering and giving faithful service to her Lord and Master. She laid hands on every sister present and prayed for a new and fresh anointing upon each one. Hallelujah! Praise God for Mother Irene Williams.
Another highlight of the Ladies Retreat, was a seminar by a well known Gynecologist, Dr. Dawn Perry, on ladies health issues. Many topics were discussed which raised an awakening to the need for healthy diet, regular tests, exercise etc. The presence of the Lord was felt even as we were reminded that our bodies are the temple of the Lord.
AWAKE THE DAY DAWNS! Our guest speakers were Sis. Glenda Stone, wife of Pastor Andrew Stone and Diane Grant, Associate Pastor,Blue Hills, Providenciales. Also a short message was shared by Shamek Ewing. Ladies were challenged to awake to the dawning of a new day of spiritual blessings. What a great fellowship it was for the women of TCI.
A dance performed by the adult sisters from Grand Turk was joyfully performed.
May the rich blessings of God be with you, your family and staff and Headquarters during this Christmas Season. The women of TCI pray that you have a great holiday and peaceful and fruitful New Year 2010.
Yours in Christ Sister Nancy Hamilton National Women's Ministries Director, TCI
