Pine Grove Fall Festival
The Pine Grove church in Crossville, TN recently had a Fall Festival with carnival games, trunk-or-treating, a bounce house, pumpkin carving, cupcake decorating, a cupcake walk, crafts, face painting, and barbeque and hotdogs for the community. Lots of volunteers from the church helped out and we had over 60 families and 100 children, not counting church families!
I had the opportunity of talking with a woman who opened up about some difficult times she and her family had been through. She shared that she didn't have a church and was really needing help and wanting to plug her five children in somewhere. So, I invited her to church and told her all about our children's ministry. After that, I began visiting with a young couple that had two toddlers. They shared that they had moved here from Florida and hadn't yet found a local church. They also shared that their family business had just been robbed and they lost everything, and now were starting over from scratch. I invited them and told them we would love to have them here. BOTH FAMILIES CAME TO CHURCH SUNDAY MORNING!!!!!! I was so thrilled! Praise God for sending us hurting people!!!!! We had seven new children in the children's ministry that Sunday!
