| Historical Society of Church of God Movements Reverend Michael Padgett, President of the Historical Society of Church of God Movements and pastor of Kentucky's Mountain Assembly Church of God called the Thursday, May 29, 2008, meeting to order as moderator. It was the Seventh Annual Meeting for the Society, who met at the Museum Center at Five Points in Cleveland, Tennessee. The theme for the 2008 meeting, The Development of Early Church of God Ecclesiology, led the attendees to focus primarily on the leadership of R.G. Spurling and A.J. Tomlinson as founder and first General Overseer, respectively. Business for 2008 included implementation of new officers: |

Membership is open to anyone who wishes to join its mission and purpose which includes striving to learn and share history of the Church of God movements as well as promote its heritage. If you would like to be part of this endeavor, meetings are scheduled annually on the Thursday following Memorial Day. The 2009 venue is pending. | |||
