Guatemala: I WAS HUNGRY
Sharing food and the “Good News of Jesus” with children in Teculatan, Guatamala
What is the greatest need of these children?

Clean living conditions? Caring people in their lives?
Although the living conditions are poor and food is whatever is found at the landfill, the greatest need for this little girl is JESUS!
The greatest need any child has is Jesus. But it is difficult to listen to the “Good News” when you’re hungry, surviving in poor living conditions and with no one to help you.
Approximately 1,500 miles due south of Memphis, Tennessee in the city of Teculatan, Guatemala children and their families sift through the trash at the landfill to find food to eat. The workers at Esperanza de Vida (Hope of Life) share the “Good News” of Jesus with these boys and girls. They also help provide school supplies and clothing as well as feeding 300 children, 3 times each week during the school year.
HH4K would like to join with Esperanza de Vida to provide meals for the children. The cost for a hot meal is $.25 cents per child. If you would like the children of your ministry to give so these children can be fed and hear the “Good News” of Jesus’ love, contact Children’s Ministries at the international offices for a copy of the Helping Hands for Kids 2008 Mission Project Giving Guide.
