Who produces our Sunday school materials?
The Church of God of Prophecy partners with a number of other Pentecostal Charismatic fellowships to write, edit, and publish curriculum materials that are suitable for use in Spirit-filled churches.
What makes the curriculum distinctive and especially useful for our churches?
It underscores the dynamic intervention of the Holy Spirit in the lives of contemporary believers through addressing themes like the baptism in the Holy Spirit, the gifts and fruit of the Spirit. Teacher’s guides incorporate unique features that help teachers foster a teaching environment that is open to divine intervention in the classroom and application of God’s Word to life immediately.
Can the curriculum be used in cell groups/small groups or for group Bible study?
The adult curriculum is designed to be flexible and can be used in a variety of settings. GAP (Graduates and Professionals) and Faith Café provide a variety of interactive approaches and appeal to adults with different learning styles.
Do you have material that could be used for children’s church?
Some of the HeartShaper curricula (PreSchool, Pre-K & K, Early Elementary) provide material for an additional hour which means you get two lessons for the price of one. This allows you to extend and deepen the learning experience for your students.
How do you guarantee biblical accuracy of Sunday school material?
Sunday school lessons are written by writers who are committed to faithfulness to God’s Word. Lessons are also carefully reviewed for doctrinal accuracy by church leaders who serve on the Editorial sub-committee of the Publishing Committee.
Do you provide any help for new churches/missions?
Yes. Any new church/mission can receive a free quarter of Sunday school material as our investment in assisting new churches in their discipling efforts.
If I hold a minister’s license can I receive the Teacher’s Certificate?
Anyone with a minister’s license is not eligible to receive the Teacher’s Certificate.
